Bonnet Bra vs Bonnet Guard: Which is for You?
Whether you are wanting to customise your van and add an exterior styling element, or if you're simply looking for a practical purpose to protect the front of your van; a bonnet bra or bonnet guard may be perfect. But which is for YOU?
If you're in the market for a bonnet bra or a bonnet guard but can't decide which one to choose, we're giving you some key information and the pros and cons of both.
Bonnet Bra
First up, what exactly is a bonnet bra? Simply it's a vinyl cover that fits to the front, or bonnet, of a van to protect it from scratches, stone chips and insect damage. You can read our full guide here.
Pros:
- Stylised and preference-based appearance
- Covers the entire bonnet (full version)
Cons:
- Doesn't protect windscreen as it sits flush to bonnet
- Longer fitting process - requires stretching and time
Bonnet Guard
A bonnet guard is a little simpler than a bonnet bra and only covers the front section of your van's bonnet. It's made from tough black acrylic and provides protection against stone chips while deflecting bugs, stones and road debris away from your windscreen.
Pros:
- Stylised appearance
- Deflects road debris up and away from windscreen
- Easier fitting process - clip and go process
Cons:
- Doesn't cover the entire bonnet
- If not applied correctly, could cause damage to the bonnet
Hopefully this has helped you to decide whether you are wanting to add a bonnet bra or a bonnet guard to your van. We'd love to see your finished fittings also!
