Ford Transit Custom Series | #2 Rear Spoiler
We're bringing you the second Ford Transit Custom installment and this week we've added a colour-coded Rear Spoiler. Make your van stand out with our range of primed rear spoilers for both barn door and tailgate options, allowing you to paint them to suit your vehicle and look.
Our range of rear spoilers are manufactured from a high quality OEM style PU material and fit with no drilling required, simply use a strong bonding agent. Fitment is easy and achievable by one person.
Fitting is simple, and we've put together an easy-to-follow guide to help you out. Before moving onto the fitting, ensure you get your spoiler painted (colour-coded or otherwise) as these are sold primed only. Also ensure that the spoiler fits correctly, and apply masking tape guides if needed to ensure a perfect fit.
1. Abrade the inside of the spoiler and the top of your van, using a light sandpaper.

2. *optional* Apply VHB tape to the centre of the spoiler and drill several small holes to allow adhesive to disperse.
3. Apply PUR sealant adhesive to the back of the spoiler around the entire edge surface. Peel VHB tape if applied previously.

4. Line up the spoiler with the previously marked out masking tape lines, or simply by eye with the shape of your van door. The spoiler should follow the contours of your van.
5. Press firmly along all areas of the spoiler to secure in place and disperse the adhesive evenly.

6. Repeat the same steps for the opposite side door (if barn doors), otherwise, proceed to step 7.
7. The adhesive may have leaked out from beneath the spoiler. If so, evenly spray with water and clean away the adhesive with a plastic spatula or card.

8. Secure the spoiler in place with masking tape and leave to 'dry' for 3-4 hours before removing the masking tape and cleaning up any remaining adhesive areas.
The final spoiler is now fully fitted and the end result is a fully colour-coded rear spoiler.

For our third fitting in two weeks time, we'll be adding a set of Seat Covers. Keep your eyes peeled for the next update and let us know how you get on fitting your own rear spoilers!
