- PREVENTS CONDENSATION AND PROTECTS YOUR BUILD: The foil face acts as a vapour barrier. Lay it foil-face up, adhesive side down onto the van floor. This blocks warm cabin air from reaching the cold metal and condensing underneath your build. Seal every join with aluminium tape to complete the barrier.
- ACOUSTIC AND THERMAL IN ONE LAYER — 12MM, THE RIGHT THICKNESS FOR FLOORS AND COLD CLIMATE BUILDS: As well as insulating, the closed-cell foam structure absorbs airborne road noise that the deadening layer alone doesn't address. One product doing two jobs. For walls and ceiling, use NOMAD 5mm foil backed insulation.
Description
12mm Thermal & Acoustic Floor Insulation provides enhanced thermal performance for year-round and full-time van conversions, helping keep cold air from rising through the floor during winter. The increased thickness delivers significantly better insulation than 5mm while also reducing airborne noise and vibration. Supplied in a 1m-wide roll, it offers single-pass coverage in vans such as the Transit and Sprinter, eliminating the need for a longitudinal seam down the centre of the floor.
