Standing on a tyre to reach your roof rack works right up until it doesn't. The Rhino AccessStep gives you a wide, stable platform bolted to the chassis of your Vauxhall Vivaro (2019-2024) - for getting in and out of the load area, and for reaching roof-mounted equipment without improvising.

Two jobs, one step

Rear entry is the obvious one. The less obvious one is roof access: the AccessStep gives you a secure, stable place to stand while you unstrap a ladder or reach a roof rack, which removes the tyre-and-bumper routine that causes so many van injuries. For anyone in and out of the back forty times a day, it changes the shape of the job.

Built for daily commercial use

A welded, powder-coated mild steel support frame sits beneath the tread and does the structural work, giving a maximum load capacity of 136kg. The tread itself is durable copolymer with an anti-slip surface that holds grip in wet and frozen conditions, and a high-visibility reflective label keeps the step obvious in poor light. Crash tested, extensively load tested in-house, and both TÜV and KBA approved. Backed by a 3-year warranty.

Bespoke fit, one-person install

Every AccessStep is supplied with a pair of outriggers designed specifically for your vehicle. They bolt to the mounting points on the underside of the chassis and extend outwards to position the step in the optimum place for easy entry - which is why this is a vehicle-specific product rather than a universal bar. Installation takes approximately 30 minutes and can be completed by one person using the supplied hardware.

Twin or triple step?

The difference is width, not the number of levels. The triple step adds an extra section for a slightly wider tread than the standard twin - useful if you are up and down all day, or working in boots with a load in your hands.

• Triple Step — 1613mm wide

Both are 188mm deep. Not every vehicle offers both configurations.

Black or yellow?

Black gives a seamless finish on any van and is the usual choice on liveried or dark vehicles. Yellow is considerably more visible, which is why many fleet operators specify it on health and safety grounds. Same step, same specification - pick on appearance or on visibility.

Which sensor option do I need?

This depends on what is already fitted to your van:

• No Reversing Sensors - your van has no rear parking sensors and you do not want to add any.
• With Reversing Sensors - your van has no rear parking sensors and you would like the step supplied with a sensor kit.
• With Connect+ - your van already has factory-fitted parking sensors. Connect+ lets you pop the original sensors out of your bumper, locate them into the housings built into the step, and reconnect them to the vehicle's wiring loom using the cables provided. No rewiring and no specialist knowledge needed, and your in-cab display and audio warnings carry on working as normal. Some vehicles may require the bumper to be removed for fitting.

If your van already has factory sensors, choose Connect+ - the "With Reversing Sensors" option supplies sensors you already own. Connect+ is not available for every vehicle or every step configuration.
